(Would you follow me, silently?)

There are some people questioning about my "Chinese" status, whether I am a chinese with "Malay name" or a malay with "Chinese muslim" name. In a matter of fact, I was studying at primary and secondary chinese school. Although my Chinese subject only get 3b in SPM, my interest in chinese language and writting never get low. Chinese books are my best friends while I was small, only read other than chinese language books while I met Islam since few years ago.

I tried post article to Newspaper however failed, however one of my chinese blog are published by Guang Ming newspaper few years ago.

Please enjoy this self written article below, or visit my darkcat life blog.
It's specially dedicated to those readers who in love with chinese language.

I am not Malay, or not so called "Masuk melayu".
I am just a chinese who recites Kalimah Syahadah.

Family Reunion Lunch at Chinese New Year Eve

I was standing at outside of parent’s house and not dare to step in.
It was late night already, their reunion lunch already finished. Every year my family would prepare steamboat at house at CNY eve, it’s very important for Chinese community, no matter they are staying at the other side of world also have to come back and have a reunion lunch with family. It would be not forgiven if any of the family member dare to break this traditions.

“Come in.” My father says to me at door
I was silent and don’t know what to say.

“Just come in.”
Moments later, I stepped into my parent’s house. My mother asked me a lot of questions, why I dare to embrace Islam without telling them first, and lots more. I believe that my family totally lost their mood in celebrating 2009 Chinese New Year.

“So you are not going to eat anything that I cook anymore right?” My mother asked
I was still remaining silent, I don’t know much to talk. I know that my decision may broke their heart into pieces, but I have to embrace Islam too because I realized that Islam is the right path. I was not inform my parents while register at Pejabat Agama because I afraid they would try anything to stop me.

“Are you feeling comfortable to live your life as Malay?”
“Why are you doing this to me? My heart feels like being stabbed by you.”
“I told your father that I don’t want to live anymore. I am already lost my son”
I tried to explain with my mother, but it seems like didn't make sense to her at all. How do I pick up my mother’s heart that broke into pieces, and stick it together? I know gaps would never disappeared after it’s stick up, but It’s much more better than I let it be.

At year 2009 is my first time ever that I was not having Reunion Lunch with my family. There are a lot of problems in finding the suitable steamboat restaurants, my mother wanted the “Chinese Taste” steamboat too no matter how I tried to recommend some Thai’s halal steamboat. It was so frustrating that my father still insist to ask me have a lunch and stay overnight with them. (In Chinese tradition, every family member should be stay overnight at CNY Eve in welcoming new years.)

Till this year CNY, my mother told me that she want to prepare steamboat at my family house. “I will not put pork inside it, why not you bring your wife and daughter to join us?” Of course I can tell her about samak or buy whole new set of steamboat pot, but there’s some problems I still need to beware of. CNY was getting closer and closer, I was still can’t figure out how do I solve this Reunion Lunch problem.

I can’t simply explain to my mother the beauty of Islam in speech but action. It need takes lot of effort in showing her that what I can and can’t do as a muslim. Then I would let her judge and understand how I live my way including how I talk with them. Before I getting know about Islam, I always shouted at my parents and not respect much.. I never appreciate what I have and being rude to everyone, until after I embraced Islam.. I am learning to talk gently and treat them well, I understand I broke their heart in my selfish decision so I want to show them that I am not ignorant son.

“I have a relative who married with malay and embrace Islam, after he embraced Islam hor.. His whole family very angry with him, they kick him out and never see him anymore for few years. Till now I am never know where is him.” I recalled my ex colleagues sharing her relative’s story in year 2008. I was remain silent and eating my vegetarian food with them.

“Yes lo yes lo.. I also don’t know why Islam law is so forcefully, it’s ok la if girl want to get marry with anyone or any race, girl would follow husband la but for the boy how come he need to follow girl’s religion and tradition??”Another colleague is arguing in this issue.

In Chinese community, girls who get married would need to follow husband’s every order, including religion status, tradition, surname and lots more. Husband have the total right in controlling everything, so called in Chinese Idioms “Follow the chicken or duck once married to either one of  it”. Including reunion lunch issue, wife have no right to celebrate it with her own family but follow husband back to his family living place.

So it’s become an weird issue that why husband must be the one who bowed down and follow muslim wife’s religion? According to surah Al-Baqarah : 221 :

In this verse Allah SWT is not command “Paksalah mereka memeluk Islam sebelum berkahwin” but commanded this “Dan janganlah kamu berkahwin dengan perempuan-perempuan kafir musyrik sebelum mereka beriman (Memeluk Islam)”. Which means Islam is not forceful in religion issue, but it is partner’s self decision whether he/she want to embrace Islam or not. Being embrace Islam under self decision and awareness is much more better than forcing partner to follow Islam blindly, because partner will be playing important role in leading family at the future.

In this two verse of Surah Al-Baqarah already explained that Islam is never forceful. But it’s more to community tradition being crashed with Hukum Allah S.W.T. It’s never easy to persuade family members to accept their beloved son being embrace Islam, however it’s son’s responsible to explain Islam in gentle or direct way to them. Getting run away from family never solve anything, but they should be taking initiative to prove that Islam is the righteous Religion.

Two weeks before Chinese New Year, my wife show me a newspaper published about Chinese Muslim Steamboat at Perak. That restaurant name is Jade Nusantara Steamboat, surprisingly the location are very near to my parent’s house (Less than 1KM). Thus I tried to call my parent and tell them that I can have steamboat reunion lunch with them, my mother’s first reaction was: “Are you sure that’s Chinese restaurant? It seems have a lot of malay waiters at there, and you know I prefer to Chinese taste steamboat only.”

“Of course mother, that’s really chinese’s restaurant. Why not you try to go there and take a look?”
At the same day I called my parent, they went to that restaurant at night and agreed to have Family Reunion CNY lunch at there, Alhamdulilah. I believe the restaurant boss have been talk with them in Chinese language, which makes them feels more confident that their steamboat would be more suitable to their taste. This would be the first time ever in my whole life celebrating CNY with family at Chinese Muslim Restaurant, which record a whole new historical day in my family tradition.

It was a wonderful family gathering in my whole life, I spent more than 2 years effort to enjoying this Reunion Lunch along my wife and daughter. Alhamdulilah.

Solving 9-11: The Deception that Changed the World by Christopher Bollyn

What does this pic means to whole world? Islam = Terrorist?
I'm still recalled how shock I was while I woke up by family, they urge to look at TV News. Two building at USA were being Bombed !! Newspaper headline written 911 crisis, and a muslim named Osama Bin Laden claimed his organization is responsible for the attack.

It happened at 11 September 2001.
I was shocked with that tragedy, till I was afraid with muslim at Malaysia. Whenever I went out I must be asking myself why muslim did that to USA? Newspaper keep on publishing how Osama was hiding himself at cave, USA Troop was chasing at nowhere of Middle East.

Year 2004, I met my wife at school.
She told me 911 is a HOAX, Yahudi who did the job. The most apparent reason is non of the Jewish died in this tragedy. I was still hesitated.

Year 2008, Alhamdulilah I embraced Islam.
The beauty of Islam and truths doesn't stopped me from embrace Islam. I found out there's a very thick wall build by arrogant people at the entry of Islam, they are using lots slander as their brick, racist follower as wall builder. However I was breakthrough it, ignoring what society criticize on me. At this very moment, I still don't know much about 911.

Untill year 2010, I was accidentally found Solving 911 Online Book written by Christopher Bollyn .

An American who loves his country more than anyone.
When talk about 911, you or me also not qualified to talk about it. Because we are not American who lives there, we don't how what's really going on at USA land. Just like Malaysia politic, do you think foreign people knows more than Malaysians? There are a lot of dark side in politic which only local people understand it, Newspaper is failed to telling the truth. (Alhamdulilah Malaysia is not too complicated like America where Jewish controlled their country)

While reading through his article, I found out a lot of interesting facts.
He is definitely qualified to discover truth about 911, and the truth he founds can be annoying and disgusting. I would quote some of his article as a brief intro :

Jews from Eastern Europe created an empire of their own in Hollywood in the early 1900s and have influenced how Americans see the world ever since.

Indications of Israeli Involvement

The first indication that the attack on the World Trade Center was an elaborate "false flag" operation came with the arrest of the five men on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River. These men, described as "Middle Eastern" in the first media reports, were later identified as Israelis.  A false flag operation is a crime which is designed and carried out so that another party or nation is blamed.

That the five jubilant Middle Eastern men, who had photographed themselves smiling and celebrating with the burning World Trade Center in the background, were indeed Israelis (namely Sivan and Paul Kurzberg, Oded Ellner, Omer Marmari, and Yaron Schmuel) and that two of them were known to U.S. law enforcement and intelligence agencies as agents of Israeli intelligence, was ignored by the mass media.
The men had been observed taking video or photos of themselves with the World Trade Center burning in the background.  Sivan Kurzberg told the police that the men had been driving in their van in the immediate vicinity of the towers that morning.  He was photographed flicking a lighter with the burning towers behind him.

A woman who had observed the jubilant Israelis said she was struck by the expressions on the men's faces. "They were like happy, you know," she said.  "They didn't look shocked to me. I thought it was very strange."

When they were arrested, Sivan, the driver of the van, told the police, "We are Israeli. We are not your problem. Your problems are our problems. The Palestinians are the problem."

Odigo Warnings

In the first days and weeks after 9-11, I paid very close attention to the large number of Israeli terror suspects arrested, which was more than two hundred by November 2001, and investigated the published reports that an Israeli instant text message service had been used to warn Israelis of the attacks in New York, hours before they occurred.  Many Israelis were evidently forewarned of the attacks through an Israeli instant messaging service called Odigo. This story, which presents the clearest evidence of Israeli prior knowledge of the attacks, was reported only very briefly in the U.S. media – and then forgotten.

According to the published reports, Israel-based employees of Odigo reported having received warnings of an imminent attack at the World Trade Center hours before the first plane hit the north tower.  Odigo, an Israeli-owned company, had its U.S. headquarters two blocks from the World Trade Center, but the forewarned Odigo employees did not pass the terror warning on to the authorities in New York, an act that would have saved thousands of lives.

Two weeks after 9-11, Alex Diamandis, Odigo's vice president, said, "The messages said something big was going to happen in a certain amount of time, and it did – almost to the minute."  "It was possible that the attack warning was broadcast to other Odigo members, but the company has not received reports of other recipients of the message," Diamandis said.  Four thousand Israelis were expected to have been working at the World Trade Center on 9-11, yet only one was reported to have died at the complex.  Based on the Israeli government figure that 4,000 Israelis were expected to have been at the World Trade Center at the time of the attacks, it seems evident that many Israeli Odigo users got the message of warning.

ISRAEL - A TERRORIST STATE
Israel is a nation which was founded by terrorists, ruthless men with histories of committing genocidal crimes and false flag terror attacks.  Israel was created in 1948 in Palestine on land that had been "ethnically cleansed" of its indigenous Christian and Muslim inhabitants.

The Terror Drills That Became Real

"The easiest way to carry out a false flag attack is by setting up a military exercise that simulates the very attack you want to carry out," Captain Eric H. May, a former military intelligence officer from the U.S. Army wrote in a recent article entitled "False Flag Prospects, 2008 - Top Three U.S. Target Cities."
"This is exactly how government perpetrators in the US and UK handled the 9-11 and 7/7 'terror' attacks," May writes, "which were in reality government attacks blamed on 'terrorists'."

THE 9-11 FAIRY TALE – The alleged hijackers, according to the government and media version. But why has the mass media shown no interest in interviewing the families of these men in order to document and support the official story? How can it be than several of them are even reported to be alive and the media doesn't investigate?

The BBC's Jane Standley reported that Larry Silverstein's Salomon Brothers building (WTC 7) had collapsed 30 minutes before it fell straight into its foundation.  The BBC later said it had destroyed all of its original tapes of 9-11 broadcasts.

I have a very hard feeling while reading through Solving 911, I would say I can't even continue to read more. I can't accept how cold-blood a race would do for their "Holy Land". I can't clapping hands and yelling like them when I was looking at thousands of innocents life being killed.

Allah SWT already warned us beware of Yahudi, long ago before Islam become the last and the only religion for mankind. How could we forget the history of Prophets and Quran Verse that condemn Yahudi? How are we going to stop Islam being "defined" as Terrorist through Movies and "terrorist attack"?

(Surah Al Maa'idah ayat : 82 )

Alhamdulilah now we have the connection of Internet.
Through Internet we may find lots of info easily, especially those news who "blocked" by jewish.  Alhamdulilah. Insyaallah one day, whole world would know that 911 actually is a "Hollywood Terrorist Show" who directed by Jewish.

I put these link as my conclusion and condolence for those who passed away in 911 tragedy, and also Palestine civilians who fight for their beloved country. Assalamualaikum.

Reviews on Malaysia Reverted Muslim Gathering @ Ipoh 8 Jan 2011

hehe we weren't attend kusus pra perkahwinan..

For detailed progress of gathering please read :
Malaysia Reverted Muslim Gathering by Firdaus Wong Wai Hung.

Honestly, this is not an easy task for me to write a review about Muslim Reverts Gathering 8/01/11 at Macma Ipoh, especially I was stick with the gathering barely one and a half hour then left earlier at 2.30pm for my personal job. The gathering is organized and lead by Bro Firdaus Wong who create Reverts Club at Facebook. The gathering was held up successfully alhamdulilah, however I do have personal opinion about Pros and Cons in this first time ever “Experimental Gathering” .

(I am not a talkative person, this is my declaration to those who thinks why I was so silent in gathering. I think twice before I talk and I don’t like to talk too much meaningless chit-chat. You may assume I am a weirdo but that’s my character since I was born at 1985.)

First of all, I would like to thanks Mrs Marlina Wong from MACMA HQ for given us green light on using their Ipoh Branch Macma, Tuan Pengerusi Macma Ipoh Dato’ Dr Fadzley Cheah, Mr. Hafiz Ng Naib Pengerusi Macma Ipoh, Mr. Firdaus Wong as Muslim Reverts Club FB page creator, and every attendant from Kuala Lumpur, Pangkor and Macma Members from Ipoh.

KL convoys have reached Macma safely on 12.00pm alhamdulilah, after having lunch and brief introduction by Mr. Hafiz Ng then our discussion and experience sharing is started at 1.00PM. However I was left at 2.30 pm so the rest story I would let Firdaus Wong to explain more about it and let me just give my little review on our small gathering.

If your aim in gathering is want to gain more islamic knowledge or improve your Fardu Ain/Kifayah, this is definitely not your place. We don’t have ustaz or Imam in our discussion. Most of the attendant don’t have any official qualification in Islamic studies, so you must be have a very “strong heart” to stand different kinds of amateur opinion and views from reverts which may makes you feels uncomfortable.

Of course, you may ask WHY? Why you guys gathering are so fussy and misleading? Are you going to play around with Hukum Allah SWT? No, of course we are not daring to challenge every sunnahtullah. Also we are not any form of Ajaran Sesat… But this kind of “Speak your mind out” gathering may be helpful to some serious muslim in dakwah. For underground muslim, they barely have any friends to share about their feeling, doubt and worries. Within this gathering we may give them a warm feeling that “You are never alone”. Also we may know what’s the underground muslim problems, how are they striving to keep their Iman silently. Also they may know some new friends who is same status like them, giving encouragement and support to each other in the future.

Another purpose is for born Muslim realize what’s bother reverts actually in context of Islam? What’s their misunderstanding about Islam and how muslim can help reverts? This is a voice that never heard in public, at least reverts won’t simply open their mouth and tell you their problems as a muallaf. This can be a real battlefield for pendakwah to find out the exact problem in muallaf community, it’s not some kind of assumption paperwork or so called “General Research”. The environment that everyone was sitting in round circle makes them feel safe to speak our just about anything in their mind, especially our gathering place is stay in closed door room.

About Cons…
Please bear in mind, no matter anything that we are feel not sure about it in Islam, or Hukum-hukum Allah SWT.. Please ask ustaz that’s already expert in Islam knowledge just like what stated in surah Al Baqarah ayat 168 - 170:

Wahai sekalian manusia!

(No offence but I decided to give my personal review too)
There are some people in gathering are trying to give their personal opinion about Hukum Allah SWT. Sort of like : “ Saya rasa cara XXX yang betul ialah…. / Sebenarnya kita boleh buat macam sekian2…. / Kawan saya kata kita boleh kalao… / Itu hanya persepsi manusia, siapa cakap itu haram?...” Also some of the statement is more focus on Tahayul especially when it’s related to specific race’s tradition. I was not able to stop it but just observing what’s everyone reaction in this situation. Denying someone statement would lead to endless argument especially I am not qualified as well in Islam Studies, at the same time I was worry that some of the members would think what some of them is telling “the right things and it seems make sense for me” but actually it’s not. Of course this situation also may makes born muslim feels disturbed because they already knows Hukum Allah SWT can’t be fooling around just like what stated at surah Al Baqarah ayat 113 :
This situation is very complicated. Those who are profession in Dakwah may realize those misunderstanding statement and conflict that frustrated muallaf a lot but at the same time it can be misleading to those muallaf who are still stay at “beginner stage” no matter in Iman or Knowledge about Islam. As a little advice for you and me please ask Ustaz at nearby mosque for clearer answer if you feel frustrated in Hukum Islam.

Although we get to know muallaf friends easily at internet era, there are still lots more reverts out there in Malaysia doesn’t like online communication. They prefer to speak out their mind directly rather than learn how to login their facebook account, so by attending this gathering 30% facebook members may hear the voice of other 70% real life reverters. Perhaps I should describe it as “Discussion forum in Reality”, anyone is feeling free to give opinions without exposed their identity to unrelated outsiders.

One last challenge is attendance’s racist perception with others which is what happened on my family though. I was bringing along my malay wife and daughter in attending this gathering, apparently there are few of the members was feeling sick with us for unknown reason. However I would say I am already feel numb with people’s perception. Perhaps this multi-race gathering also become a good chance for those members learning how to get along and giving respect with different race people.

"Steven Lai & Dato Dr. Fadzli Cheah"

What surprising me the most was attendance of Kak Mariah’s friend Mr. Steven. Few days before gathering day being held, Kak Mariah asked me whether she can bring along a christian friend or not? Mr. Steven is very hardworking in studying islamic article but still not ready to embrace Islam. I said yes it would be no problem, who knows he may get his answer in our gathering? Afterwards on that day Mr. Steven and Kak Mariah were attended gathering at 4pm, I didn’t know how was the gathering going on but from what my friend Destiny said: “I am totally impressed by Mr. Steven, he studied a lots of islamic article and even when he talks… he would use words like Alhamdulilah, Insyaallah and Allahuakbar just like any muslim. I feel so shame that Mr. Steven is not embrace Islam yet but his islamic knowledge is more than anyone in gathering”

That’s an unexpected surprise in our gathering.
I wish I was there while Mr. Steven was sharing his view about Islam, but seems like too late. From what Kak Mariah told me afterwards Mr. Steven is profession officer, Insyaallah one day Allah SWT may open his heart to accept Islam.

(Surah Al Baqarah : Ayat 272)

Alhamdulilah, our gathering was successfully help up at MACMA Ipoh on 8 Jan 2011. Pengerusi Macma Dato’ Dr Fadzley Cheah also agree to give Reverts Club fully support in held up more gathering! That’s definitely very good news for us for our first attempt in this.

Every facebook members also giving lots of positive feedbacks (Except me huh?) Everyone are feels warm to talk with other reverts, this is an very rare chance for muallaf. According to Firdaus Wong next gathering will be held up at Johor or Penang, I feel impressed with his effort and aims in doing Gathering… Insyaallah our virtual reverts community may grow healthy and firm in future.

As a conclusion, I apologize if my article disturbed anyone directly or indirectly. Also congratulation to everyone who have attended gathering, Insyaallah our silaturahim may become wider in the future, Amin...

Breeze at seashore

Year 2008, I was went to Lumut seashore with Shiema.
This could the our first time went to seashore together, releasing our tension. She was bring along Nasi Lemak that cooked at house, we was having our tasty lunch under coconuts tree. As usual, people would looking at us with strange emotion, the situation that we get used to.

After having lunch, we rent two laying chair which cost us RM10..
There was so many problem we face in our journey, especially religion problem dan our future. How do I going to face my parent if I get married? What's my life going to be if I become a muslim, do Islam is the true religion I am looking for in my whole life? I believe there's God, but I don't know where is God.

"You will be going to interview police application right?"  she asked
"Yes, it's written I need to do physical test on next month.. I think it would be my last chance for our future, you know it's not easy for chinese to get job after convert."

"Insyaallah.."
"hmm.. "

I want to throw away all of the problems in my head, get rid all of them. Breeze blowing on my face, sounds like whistling on my ears.. The nature of beauty, it was so comforting me.

"Have you ever think about how breeze being created?"
"Nope... Is there a reason? "

"Yes la... These breeze is not created by fans, not human's power. Gentle breeze always blowing on anyone at anywhere on earth, no matter they are rich or poor.. or what race they are, breeze is still blowing gently everyday. We don't even have to pay money on enjoying these breeze like those aircond, don't you ever think about it?"
"Yes, it's for everyone.. no doubt at all"

"Then have you ever think who create breeze? Who is the one so caring to whole world humans, until everyone can enjoy it no matter who they are?"

I didn't answer Shiema.
This is not the first time she ask me such question, those question would stuck in my mind and takes long time to melt down in my heart. An invitation to Think and Find Answer. Our conversation stops right there, enjoying the beach breeze with hush.

I was felling asleep, soft breeze have become my blanket covering my whole body...

- Muallaf Friends
I can be anyone's friend, that's no problem..

- Cabaran seorang muallaf
I will try to write more about it...

- Beijing seronok tak
I don't know..  Seronok kot ?

- Cara mendakwah yahudi
I think it's impossible... They will get rid of muslim I guess

- Cari girl chinese muallaf

KepadaMu aku bersujud...

When I was sembahyang, my daughter always feel curious with every movement in my solat. She would sit beside me silently... Untill one day, when I was just put sejadah on ground she crawls quickly towards sejadah then sujud on it.. It is so surprising because she is just one years old now,  but she is memorize what I did in solat everyday.

Her little and cute sujud keep on reminds me that I should be strive hard to be her good example, Insyaallah.

Wanita yang bertudung tetapi....

There was a friend asked me one question at Facebook chatroom before, I was give a simple answer and she accepted it. However I think I should write it out at my blog with more detailed answer...

Soalan :

[Surah Al Baqarah Ayat : 208]

Sangkaan Dugaan

Nowadays everyone are exposed to all kinds of information, no matter from internet, TV, newspaper... I found out this comic is interesting, Media always show the negative side of other country, it cause lots of hatred and condemnation among country's citizen. Especially among Christian and Muslim... However their parents are playing the role in telling kids : "Not ALL Muslim/Christian are hateful."

Only those who are educated and able to think (Berakal), realise that not ALL Muslim are suicide bomber, and not ALL Christian are prefer to insult Islam. Just like one chinese idiom : "Various kind of people are eating the same kind of rice." There are various kind of people on this world, we can't justify someone or any community are the same at all.

Look at everyone around you, can you say everyone from your race have the same thought and character like you? The answer is definitely not, so how can you judge other race are the same from any personal perspective when your own race is not the same? Only Allah swt know everything about everyone just like what stated at Surah Az Zalzalah ayat 6-8 :

Pada hari itu manusia akan keluar berselerak (dari kubur masing-masing) untuk diperlihatkan kepada mereka (balasan) amal-amal mereka. Maka sesiapa berbuat kebajikan seberat zarrah, nescaya akan dilihatnya (dalam surat amalnya)! Dan sesiapa berbuat kejahatan seberat zarrah, nescaya akan dilihatnya (dalam surat amalnya)!
This world is very complicated, there's no one single word can be use to describe any race. We are often being taught that don't judge book by its cover, but nowadays TV and Movie are teaching us to "Judge their cover forget about their book". Showing the "Cover Story" without in depth of analysis, scared away most of the viewer and keep hatred in their heart with other race or religion.

Mari kita sama-sama renungkan Surah Al Hujuraat ayat  12...

Connecting the dots

It takes me quite long time to write an article, perhaps few days till weeks.
I am working hard on finding trusted source information, ayat Al-Quran.. (Especially I am just new-learner) plus I am sharing my personal experience as Muallaf. Which is what I am working hard to prove that Islam is true, more facts and information need to be collected and combined into one little article. This process makes me feel like connecting the dots. Each dot is stand for one small piece of trusted information, I search for few dots from various kind of books and information at internet then link them into one "Image".

[Surah Ali 'Imran Ayat : 190-191]
Islam is not fairytale that full of fantasy because Allah swt are the One who made this world.. Al-Quran have been proven everything about universe and life, day by day science keep on proven every Kalam Allah swt precisely describe every creation of Him.

However, the religion situation in Malaysia could be a mess. Which is muslim and non muslim always fight about religion issue especially at Internet. No one know what's their real identity at internet, just register any nickname then they will insult Islam openly at forum discussion board. Even if you google Islam photo, 80% of them are insulting cartoons and picture.

Before we condemn those rude non muslim, perhaps we should sit back and think may be the problem is come from muslim ourselves. Muslim should be preaching Islam to others patiently and politely, but occasionally what happening is other religion's idol oftenly being abused with all kind of rude words and criticism. Just like what it means in Surah Al An'aam Ayat : 108 :

Dan janganlah kamu caci benda yang mereka sembah selain dari Allah, kerana mereka kelak akan mencaci Allah secara melampaui batas tanpa pengetahuan. Demikianlah Kami memperelokkan pada pandangan tiap-tiap umat akan amal perbuatan mereka, kemudian kepada Tuhan merekalah tempat kembali mereka, lalu Ia menerangkan kepada mereka apa yang mereka telah lakukan.

Allah swt won't forgive us if we do Syirik to Him, however Allah swt also warn us don't insult other religion's Idol. We are not asked to respect other god than Allah swt but to respect non muslim's feeling with their "god". Everyone need god in themselves,  insulting their god would lead to meaningless debate.

I tried to explain about Islam at chinese forum, but most of their feedback is abusive article like berita saudara baru merogol saudara baru, mayat muallaf direbut oleh pihak berkuasa, Islam meniru agama Christian and lots more criticism that drive me mad. It's very easy to teasing and insulting others, they don't need any knowledge to do so. Just search through the internet and they would copy paste a lot of nonsense information about Islam. Just like what have been quoted in Surah Al An'aam "Kerana mereka kelak akan mencaci Allah secara melampaui batas tanpa pengetahuan."

Such situation always happened on me while I try to explain Islam to non muslim.
They throw away those critical question on me, but most of the time I am just remain silent.. Honestly I have heard a lot of those negative rumours already about Islam before reverted, now it's my turn to stand on Islam side collect facts and fatwa from books then reply back. Sometime after I replied back with long true information they would refuse to accept it then walk away (Perhaps they don't understand at all) The last comment I received is : "Why you always trying hard to fight for that religion Islam? What's wrong with you? You are just living in your own world, act like dirty politician forcing everyone to accept all of the nonsense..."

Another hush from me...
I believe I am not fight for nothing or insult others feeling, but I just want to show them that Islam is true, Allah swt is the God and Prophet Muhammad saw is the last prophet.

[Surah Az Zukhruf Ayat : 64]

Would You Marry Me?

Gambar hiasan semata-mata..

I was met a china friend at internet. She get to know me through my chinese blog. She asked me a lot about Islam information because she does have muslim boyfriend at Malaysia. Where they were plan to get married so as usual she was asked to embrace Islam.

It’s hard to find islamic knowledge in chinese language, since she is china’s civilian. I have few islamic books but all of them are written in Bahasa Malaysia. So I was try hard to translate every answer from my book into chinese language while she ask me at Internet. For few months of communicating through MSN, She tells me a lot about China and herself.

“I don’t like to eat pork since I was small, perhaps I should say I never eat at all. My friends also teasing at me that I'm looks like muslim even though  I am not.”
Alhamdulilah, I think she have potiential to learn more about Islam. So I give away all of my effort in translate islamic knowledge to her.

“He asked me to convert so we can get married at Malaysia. But I am just don’t understand why Malaysia have such law? Because at China there’s no such law, everyone are feel free to embrace any religion they wanted.. Or I should say religion and marriage is never become an issue in China.”
Well.. This is a complicated question which related to Syariah Law in Malaysia. I was not dare to asnwer it but just get to know a little bit more about China’s politic and laws.

For few months of chatting with her at internet, I written a lot of islamic information and she seems try hard to understand it. Like why muslim don’t drink beer, why muslimah must be wearing hijab and sort of information. She also tell me that boyfriend’s family were welcome her to their house, just she can’t understand Malaysia’s language while they were chit chat. As I know she take flight from China to Malaysia few days in every month for dating with her boyfriend. (Seems like she is raised up in wealthy family)

Untill one day, she told me this…
“Actually… My boyfriend and his father are drinkers. That’s why we are easy to get along since we met at Malaysia.”
“I am just don’t understand… What’s the point if I am following every islamic knowledge as you explained and do it well, but my marriage partner will not follow it at all?”

I was totally shocked.
Since that day, I didn’t know much to write anymore while she asked me again about Islam. How can she follow Islam while her partner is not? How they live their marriage while her boyfriend just want her to apply a “Permit to get married” by asking her embrace Islam? Dakwah is responsible for every muslim, but when embrace Islam being treated as “Permit in Law”.. I can’t even imagine how’s that gonna be.

I am not intend to insult malaysian muslim or Islam, but just wanted to share the real story from my friend. When Islam is being practised for their Nafsu, it would turn into very terrible hoax from themselves. I also recalled lots of cases happened in Malaysia like muallaf wanted to murtad, reason given is they never practice Islam and their husband/wife have left them away, which makes them think what’s the point if they keep on embracing Islam since their partner have been leave them away.

At the next month, She message me at msn again :“I am break up with my boyfriend already.. I am accidentally saw his phone records that he have another girlfriend. That’s why he keeps on hide his handphone while we are dating, now I am understand everything already.. It’s hurt but I think I should leave him, he is not appreciated what I have been sacrifice.”

Alhamdulilah, the only thing I would say.
After that, she is not asked anything about Islam with me anymore. I also understand that I can’t force her.. Perhaps I should say only Allah swt may open her heart one day, Insyaallah.

(Surah Al-Baqarah 11-12)

Hunger for Chinese Cuisine

"Seronok tak you pergi ke beijing melancong kat situ?" I asked my malay collegue.
"Seronok, yang tu company trip kami.. tiket pernebangan dibayar oleh syarikat mah.."

"Makan apa kat beijing?"
"Kami makan kat Restoran China Muslim, macam-macam jenis makanan ada.."

"Mestilah sedap kan?" I was imagine how great is the image of China Muslim Restaurants at there.
"Macam mana nak cakap ye... Tak sesuai dengan citarasa saya kot, saya rasa macam pelik-pelik je."

"Sebab tak pedas ke?" I guess I know what he means exactly.
"Ye la, makanan diorang semua tiada chili langsung. Ada seorang makcik siap bawa Sambal lagi, kami pun menyesal betul la tak bawa sos cili sendiri.."

Yes, that's how chinese cuisine taste like. There are no such thing as chili or sambal ever existed in chinese's cooking recipe. Mostly sweets, sour, tomato sauce and any other taste but except Hot and Spicy. When I was teenage, I can't even eat nasi lemak.. because the little but powerful sambal may make my face turn red and keep on sweating (Yap, even it's just nasi lemak.)

However, after one year stayed at Institut's hostel and being served with malay foods every day, my tongue are no longer Chiliphobia. It takes long time to let me get used with malaysia's spicy recipe, no matter it's tom yam, paprik, sambal, "Line-Clear" mamak rice.. All looks dele-fabu-licious to me now~

Few months before reverted, I am not even consume at chinese restaurant anymore.
No choice, 70% chinese restaurant are non halal, or I should say they are not aware the importance of halal according to islamic knowledge.

Sometime, I started to miss chinese cuisine.. But where can I find them?
Even though I am get used to malay and mamak food, I still hunger for halal chinese cuisine in Perak.

Last two weeks, I found out a chinese restoran with a Halal logo have been wiped out.
Well... What's the problem exactly? I do read a business book for businessman at bookshop, it's stated :"If you want to raise income for your restaurant, Go get a Halal Cert. It may raise your income more than 50%..." and sort of. Since they are only apply Logo Halal for higher income, thus they won't aware the importance of cooking recipe. Or I should say is there any special course for training people to cook Halal Food? Or is there any non muslim chief willing to learn and apply it seriously on food??

Alright, I would just go to XXX Kopitiam... With a "Pork Free" sign at outside. When the drinks is served, I am shocked with the round pad below my white coffee.. Isn't it Txgxr Beer logo? Then I look around, I notice there are group of chinese teenage are holding beer bottle and stuck it into their throat. This Kopitiam started to make me confused with what's their definition of "Pork Free". Well is it mean only no pork served, but any other than pork are ready to serve as well.

I am not blaming on those teen who are drinking beers at daylight, just that Kopitiam doesn't aware the real definition of muslim's lifestyle. Simply put a "Pork Free" sign at outside may mislead lots of muslim enter their restaurant.

Finally, I have become occasional customer to Yat Lai Restaurant at Kuala Kangsar.

This is truly chinese restaurant I have ever seen, been selling chinese cuisine foods and pau for 3 generation. What's the most interesting thing is they do serve halal food even they are not muslim. The tauke always wearing heavy glasses, casual shirt with short pants walking around to serve customer. Chinese, Malay and Indian customer keeps on coming in and out.

I look at their cashier counter, Tauke put up his religion's idol and dragon idol, which stated that he is not muslim anyway. But his family business which work hard on serving halal food have been won customer's heart and trust for 3 generation.

No halal logo or cert hang on the wall.
Because the restaurant's chief already realize how to prepare Halal food.

I ordered a cup of coffee..
Ohh... I miss it a lot. The taste is different from any other coffee. Kind of like Ipoh Old Town Coffee.

Sweet and Sour Chicken Rice, my all times favourite...

They got Pau daging, ayam and kaya. This Pau is superb delicious and soft skin, sold at RM1.60 each.

The food I am hunger for is just chinese cuisine with halal procedure, which they know what specific things to be avoid in their recipe. But nowadays many restaurant are focus more on the "Logo" rather than the "Procedure", that's why there are lots of different "Halal Logo" at market. Their aim is goes for more and more PROFIT, not how's the PRODUCT being PRODUCED.

Islam is the way of life, including way of cooking. But it's very hard to be practice in most non muslim restaurant, because the cooking procedure may makes them confused and they don't feel the importance of it. Like ingredients without alcohol, ayam yang disembelih...

Perhaps I should take a trip to Beijing too.
Instead of ordering Nasi Goreng Cina at Tom Yam Restaurant.
